Hook-up Operations
We have assisted with many hook-up operations, providing tow masters with accurate in-field overview of
all vessels involved. An example is the hook-up of the Kizomba FPSO's, during which remote positioning was
provided on six vessels, providing the tow master with all required information to make informed decisions
during the hook-up operation.
Exploration Seismic
Fugro's DGPS systems are used extensively by the offshore seismic survey industry. To locate seismic source 'guns'
and streamer tail buoys, Fugro has developed a range of specialised positioning solutions.
For Ocean Bottom Cable (OBC) and 4D seismic survey operations, Fugro has developed
the exceptional Starfix.OBC system. Comprising of proven software suites, First Break Picking algorithms plus
telemetry and control systems, Starfix.OBC is a comprehensive and cost-effective answer for the support of
multi-vessel OBC spreads when laying and positioning cables on the seabed.
Fleet management
Tailored solutions are offered for monitoring and tracking marine vessels. Fugro's Vessel Tracking System provides
visual tools - based on GIS and Web technologies - to analyse the vessel movements and also supplies a comprehensive
reporting mechanism. The system is a unique blend of GIS, GPS, Communication and Reporting technologies enabling the
user to have a permanent access to essential management information.
With varied experience of Fugro in fleet tracking and positioning the system is deployed as a
turnkey solution, including installation and commissioning of the hardware, communication and software modules.
Rov / Diver positioning
Using DGPS and portable subsea positioning system (USBL or other), accurate ROV and diver positioning can be
provided with the highest flexibility.
